As a writing teacher for grades four and five at Dilworth Elementary School in Salt Lake City, Joanne Brunetti emphasizes writing not only as a skill in itself, but as a tool for learning in other areas. A 19-year veteran of education, Ms. Brunetti is dedicated to getting the best out of her students. Her excellence as an instructor and her ability to motivate students have been recognized with several awards, including the Exemplary Teaching Award by the Utah Association of Teacher Educators; the Excellence in English and Language Arts Instruction Award; the Outstanding Educator Award by the Kiwanis Club; and Teacher of the Year for Salt Lake City School District.
