Third-grade teacher Esther Brown's commitment to the community is evidenced by her work at Williams Elementary-Middle School in Williams. As a member of the school's Multicultural Committee, Mrs. Brown helps develop activities that address the area's unique diversity of cultures. She is also a member of the Child Study Team, which individualizes programs and services to meet the unique needs of each child. Mrs. Brown has consistently demonstrated her leadership skills as president of the local PTO, chair and secretary of the district's site-based council, and member of the school's Leadership Team. Mrs. Brown also co-led the district's North Central Accreditation steering committee, and conducted on-site school evaluations for NCA.
