Biographical Information

Thomas Williams is a health education teacher at Fayetteville High School. He has received local, state and national recognition for his efforts to promote health and wellness at the school and community levels. Dr. Williams designed his school's health curriculum, which has been recognized as one of the nation's top 20 health programs by the Metropolitan Life Foundation. Among other honors, he received the Governor's Award for Health Education and Promotion in 1985, was the National Institute of Health's Centennial Teacher for Arkansas in 1987, and was named Fayetteville School District Teacher of the Year in 1989.
