As assistant principal of Oquirrh Hills Middle School in Riverton, Kerrie Naylor faced with the challenges of helping lead a school whose campus population of 1,600 was 400 students beyond the facility's capacity. She responded to this challenge with imagination and zeal. During her 14-year tenure in the Jordan School District, she had been both a teacher and an administrator, and served on several committees, including the Jordan School District Finance Committee and the Elementary School Assistant Principals Committee. The author of numerous professional papers, Dr. Naylor was also an adjunct professor at the University of Utah. Dr. Naylor has now retired.
