Delise Kirkeide taught math and science to the ninth through twelfth grade students at Harvey High School in Harvey. She left teaching in 2000, and is a partner in a farming operation. She loved teaching and seeing students take pride in their accomplishments. "Once positiveness and excitement have entered the classroom," she says, "the sky is the limit." Ms. Kirkeide has been recognized as an honorary member of both the FCCLA and FFA and in 1992 received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching.
