Biographical Information

As principal Mr. McDaniel has worked for the last twenty years to institute educational reforms that have made the school he heads, Centerville High School in Centerville, a model school. This year Centerville High School was named a National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education. Not one to rest on his laurels, Mr. McDaniel has extensive new plans to further improve teaching at Centerville High School. Mr. McDaniel would like to expand the "advisory program" already in place at school. In the current "advisory program," faculty advises students through formal and informal channels. Mr. McDaniel would like to see faculty assistance move beyond the informational stage to include teacher - guided application of knowledge. To this end, he would like to see his school acquire the best computer technology available. With the cooperation of the community, Mr. McDaniel hopes to better prepare the students in the areas of "skill-building and application-training. Teachers, utilizing technology, could guarantee the basic skills and stretch partnerships with the business and corporate sector to tackle real world challenges."
