Biographical Information

Anita Fisk returned to teaching English at Clark High School in Las Vegas after serving for several years as special programs coordinator for the Pershing County School District in Fallon, a position she held since 1998. Previously, Fisk was principal at the Pershing County Middle School in Lovelock where she implemented the No Fail After School Study Program. As an English teacher at Pershing County High School, Fisk organized community events for Spanish-speaking adults, directed the Youth Soccer League and coordinated local theater groups. Fisk served on the lieutenant governor's Commission on Excellence in Education and the district curriculum committee. In 1987, she received a Christa McAuliffe Fellowship to pursue a doctoral degree in educational administration at the University of Nevada, Reno.
