Mariama Carson (IN ’04) Wins Mind Trust Fellowship, $250,000 Grant to Start New Charter

Mariama Carson (IN ’04) was announced as the eighth recipient of The Mind Trust's prestigious Education Entrepreneur Fellowship, which was awarded to help her launch a Spanish-language immersion public charter school in Indianapolis, IN. Carson is The Mind Trust's first Indianapolis-based Education Entrepreneur Fellow and the first fellow to start a charter school. The fellowship comes with a startup stipend for the school, salary and benefits totaling $250,000 over the course of two years.
