Mesa Elementary has earned straight A's, and New Mexico Secretary of Education Christopher Ruszkowski is visiting to congratulate students and staff on their success. But wait ... who's that special guest taking the microphone? When Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, surprises fourth-grade teacher Silvia Miranda with New Mexico's 2018-19 Award and $25,000, the outstanding educator's life is changed forever.
