Virginia First Lady Suzanne S. Youngkin and Superintendent of Public Instruction Jillian Balow are visiting Cumberland Elementary to celebrate literacy. But wait — is there another reason for the festive assembly? When Stephanie Bishop, vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, surprises Pamela Stepko with Virginia's 2022 Milken Award and $25,000, the math interventionist makes history as the first recipient in Cumberland County Public Schools. It's a day no one will forget!
