Principal Melissa Martin Wins AZ Milken Award

Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman and Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez are here at Chinle Junior High to celebrate student achievement. But there's another reason for their visit, and it involves a huge surprise for one outstanding educator! When Dr. Joshua H. Barnett, co-president and chief operating officer for the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching, presents Principal Melissa Martin with a Milken Educator Award and $25,000 on behalf of the Milken Family Foundation, the principal's life is changed forever.
