OH Milken Award Goes to Kristen Maurer

Midvale Elementary's "Hearts and Souls Project" connects the school with local and state legislators, and Ohio Interim Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Stephanie K. Siddens is visiting to commend students and staff at a special assembly. But there's also a surprise in store, as Milken Educator Awards Senior Program Director Greg Gallagher presents kindergarten teacher Kristen Maurer with Ohio's Milken Educator Award and $25,000. Maurer is Ohio's only recipient this year and the first ever from Indian Valley Local Schools. It's a career-changing day for this outstanding teacher!
