Yoriko Perritt teaches science at Carver Math/Science Magnet School in Little Rock. A teacher of kindergarten through sixth grade students, Ms. Perritt is especially proud of her female and minority students-accomplishments which are evident in their regularly improving grades and test scores. Ms. Perritt seeks to improve her own teaching skills and techniques through continued education, and she encourages her fellow teachers to do the same."I am an educator because I get a great deal of satisfaction from helping children learn, from being an important part of their lives and from providing students with the best I can offer."
