Nena Nanfeldt serves as the principal at Nathan Hale Elementary School in Meriden. Known as a consistent motivator, she is credited with inspiring widespread professional development among the district's teachers and staff. Ms. Nanfeldt has supervised the redevelopment of Nathan Hale's bilingual education program and organized the Meriden Hispanic Community Task Force. In addition to these local efforts, Ms. Nanfeldt is involved on the state level with the Beginning Educator Support and Training Program and the Connecticut Principals Academy Advisory Board.
