Carolyn Adams is supervising principal of Oak Grove Attendance Center, Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She has served at Oak Grove for 23 years, the last 12 as high school principal. In 1990, Ms. Adams went to London as an exchange principal; while there, she studied eight British schools and lived in the home of an English principal. Ms. Adams's achievements have earned her several honors, including being named Principal of the Year by the Mississippi Association of Secondary School Principals, an organization in which she now serves as president. In 1986, Oak Grove High School received the U.S. Department of Education's Secondary Recognition Award.
