Just how large is the cash prize one outstanding educator will receive from the Milken Family Foundation? Volunteers hold up cards spelling out the amount of the award. Dr. Steven R. Staples, Virginia superintendent of public instruction, hands over a third zero, bringing the total amount of the cash award to an impressive $25,000.
