Arkansas’ Carman McBride on Winning the Milken Educator Award: “This is Unbelievable!”

Carman McBride, an Environmental and Spatial Technology (EAST) facilitator at Don R. Roberts Elementary School in the Little Rock School District, was named a 2014-15 Milken Educator for the state of Arkansas and received a $25,000 check from the Milken Family Foundation. Arkansas Commissioner of Education Tony Wood and National Institute for Excellence in Teaching President and Milken Educator Dr. Gary Stark (AR ’01) were on-hand to present the Award to this outstanding educator. “I already love what I do so it’s neat to be recognized because it makes you want to keep going. It makes you want to try harder.”
