Kimberly Alexander Carlo Receives NY Milken Award

 

 

With tears in her eyes, science teacher Kimberly Alexander Carlo makes her way to the front of the auditorium to accept her Milken Educator Award. Alexander Carlo is nurturing a new generation of scientistis at Lew-Port. She integrates Next Generation Science Standards and Argument-Driven Inquiry labs into curriculum to provide the highest quality instruction. Seventh graders leave her classroom able to develop, assess and adjust their own hypotheses using evidence from exciting, hands-on experiments.
