Donna Saiki (HI '90), one of the first class of Milken Educators honored in Hawaii, has passed away at the age of 81.
Donna won the Milken Educator Award as the principal of Hilo High School on Hawaii's Big Island. After she retired, Donna continued as a substitute administrator in Hilo and helped Hawaii's schools for many years. She was in the founding group of the Pacific Tsunami Museum and served as executive director until she stepped down due to health problems. Donna focused on educating children and the community about tsunami awareness; many Hawaii Milken Educators joined her in that effort.
