Flanked by Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley and Rhode Island Commissioner of Education Dr. Ken Wagner, Lauren Hopkins reacts with emotion as students and colleagues continue their thunderous ovation. Hopkins is a popular teacher at Coventry, exuding school spirit and attending countless proms, dances, athletic events and student performances. Students have chosen her several times for the school’s "Invite a Teacher" sporting events, where teachers wear a student jersey and are recognized at halftime.
