Lauren Hopkins, You're a RI Milken Educator!

 

 

The special guest is Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards. She tells the students that the Milken Family Foundation has heard about them—and their teachers. "We believe educators have the most important job in our country because they have the responsibility to prepare all of YOU for a bright future," she says. "Good teachers make a difference." Foley explains that Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, created the Milken Educator Awards because he believes teachers deserve the same level of recognition as star athletes or actors.
