Biographical Information

Author and Traveling Teacher. Patty serves schools all over the country with a focus on literacy instruction. She is the author of Feedback that Moves Writers Forward (Corwin Literacy, 2017), Lead Author of Benchmark Writer's Workshop and Grammar Study, The 7 Essentials of Writer's Workshop (Spring 2021), and Feedback for Primary Writers (Spring 2022). Previously, Patty was a Staff Developer for the Northern Valley School Consortium. She also served as a library media specialist and former fourth- grade teacher. Patty's favorite moments are working with educators and students directly in the classroom as we study to uncover our true potential and power. Patty has presented nationally and internationally.


Personal Message

Always grateful to the Milken Educator Award network for the belief in me early in my career so that I would continue to take the road less traveled.
