Jonathan S. Harris is principal of Andover High School in Andover, MA. Previously, Harris was an adminstrator and science teacher in the Austin Independent School District in Austin, TX for thirteen years. His innovations included having his students design miniature houses and wire them for electricity, during which he led his students through investigations, questioning, research and hands-on activities. The state's first-ever National Board Certified teacher for high school science, Harris has served as a mentor for teachers pursuing national certification. Harris began his career as an educator with Teach for America in the Houston Independent School District which provided the foundation for his career in education as an advocate for all students.
