Biographical Information

As a result of Principal Bill Johnson's effective leadership, Crowley High School in Crowley, Tx, (Fort Worth Metroplex) received "Exemplary" status on the accountability system for the state of Texas Spring of 2000. Crowley High was one of only two class 4AAAA high schools, with similiar demographics, in the state to be so honored. He has implemented an effective site-based decision making plan, procured instructional technology and quality tools, and developed incentives to promote higher attendance rates to promote student success. Mr. Johnson has earned honors for Crowley from the Texas Education Agency for parental involvement programs such as Take-Your-Parents-To-School Day, in which parents shadow their children for a day, learning how their time is managed and what kinds of demands they face each day. He also help develop skills of new teachers by pairing them with appropriate mentors. Mentees are provided new teacher handbooks, which is a component of the mentor program that he developed and implemented. He supports the use of effective teaching practices which increase the opportunity for student learning. In 2005 he was promoted to Executive Director of Student Services, Crowley ISD In 2007 he was promoted to Assistant Superintendent In 2008 he became Deputy Superintendent and is current serving in that capacity
