Biographical Information

Bert Neumaier, and 18-year veteran of the language classroom, teaches French at Farmington High School and is also language program coordinator for the Farmington Public Schools for grades 5-12. Previously, he taught for many years at the Timothy Edwards Middle School in South Windsor. Mr. Neumaier has presented workshops on foreign language education at Connecticut's Institute for Teaching and Learning, and developed "The Proficiency Connection," a program that provides foreign language teachers with the latest information on their subjects. Mr. Neumaier was named South Windsor and Connecticut Teacher of the Year in 1987, and received a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship for Foreign Language Teachers in 1989.
