Shannon Garrison (CA '08) Appointed to National Assessment Governing Board for Second Term

Shannon Garrison (CA '08) has been reappointed by Secretary of Education Arne Duncan to serve on the governing body that sets the policy for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), commonly known as the “nation’s report card.” Shannon was first selected to the board in 2010 and is proud to once again represent teachers, while ultimately serving children, in this important capacity.
Shannon will also maintain her full-time classroom position as a second-grade teacher at Solano Elementary School, a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
