Robert Rivera Finalist for National PAEMST Award

Robert Rivera (TX '06) has been chosen as a Texas finalist for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. The PAEMST awards, which are administered by the National Science Foundation on behalf of The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, are the highest honors bestowed by the U.S. government for K-12 mathematics and science teaching.
Rivera, who taught fifth-grade math at Putegnat Elementary School in Brownsville when he won his Milken Award, currently teaches sixth-grade math at Faulk Middle School.
