Matthew Mayeske's Milken Award Surprise In Gardner, KS

 

 

Students and colleagues gather with social studies teacher Matthew Mayeske for congratulatory hugs after his surprise Milken Educator Award notification. Matthew's passion, dedication and leadership reach beyond his classroom, creating an inclusive environment that draws students – even those not in his classes – to visit during breaks. Many know him as the head of various after-school clubs including Diversity Club; Link Crew, a leadership program of upperclassmen who mentor younger students; Geography Club; Table Gaming Club; Anime Club; and the Ping Pong Club.
