Looking Back: Kimberly Moreno's Milken Award Moment

It's been two years since science teacher Kimberly Moreno won her Milken Educator Award at New Jersey's Union City High School, but the excitement of her big surprise is still fresh in her mind. When Lowell Milken called her name, Kimberly jumped up, hands shaking. Her first thought: "This is going to be on TV—I don't want to cry!"

When Kimberly's turn came to address the assembly, she focused on her students. "You guys inspire us to come to work each day," Kimberly told them. "The harder you work in the classroom, the more it makes an impact on our lives." Our cameras caught up with her recently—take a look.
