Tiffany Tynes Curry Joins Ohio Milken Educators

What's up at Weinland Park Elementary School? Paolo DeMaria, Ohio's superintendent of public instruction, and Dr. Dan Good, superintendent and CEO of Columbus City School District, have joined the morning assembly to commend the school on its partnership with Ohio State University and progress on the Third Grade Reading Guarantee. But there's another reason for their visit, which becomes clear when they introduce an unexpected guest. Watch as third-grade math and science teacher Tiffany Tynes Curry is named the recipient of Ohio's 2016-17 Milken Educator Award and $25,000—truly the surprise of a lifetime.
