Marin County Science Teacher Nick Williams Wins $25K Milken Award

California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson is visiting San Marin High School to recognize the STEM program — isn't he? When Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, names science department head Nick Williams a California Milken Educator Award winner for 2015-16 and brings out a gigantic $25,000 check with Williams's name on it, no one is more surprised than the recipient himself.
