Jon Pickinpaugh Joins NE Milken Educator Family
Jon Pickinpaugh (NE '17) | South Sioux City Middle School | South Sioux City, NE | Jan 11, 2018Students at South Sioux City Middle School have reason to celebrate. MAP scores show impressive growth, and Nebraska Lieutenant Governor Mike Foley is visiting to recognize their achievement. But there's another reason for the all-school assembly, which comes to light when Foley introduces Greg Gallagher, senior program administrator for the Milken Family Foundation. When Gallagher and Foley surprise Jon Pickinpaugh with Nebraska's 2017-18 Milken Educator Award and $25,000, the science teacher's career is forever changed. Follow along in the photos below.
