Devon Willis-Jones (LA '16) | Jeanerette Elementary School | Jeanerette, LA | Oct 25, 2016More than a dozen district and state dignitaries are visiting Jeanerette Elementary School in Iberia Parish to celebrate its stellar gains in student achievement, including Dr. Holly Boffy, vice president of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, and Iberia Parish School District Superintendent Dale Henderson. But there's another reason for their visit, which is revealed when Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, surprises Jeanerette Principal Devon Willis-Jones with a 2016-17 Milken Educator Award and $25,000.
