Oklahoma’s Amanda Raupe Wins Milken Award

It’s a day of celebration at Hilldale Elementary School: Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister, State Secretary of Education and Workforce Development Natalie Shirley, and Putnam City Schools Superintendent Dr. Fred Rhodes have joined the all-school assembly to congratulate students on their outstanding achievements. But there’s even more rejoicing when surprise guest Greg Gallagher, senior program administrator of the Milken Family Foundation, names first-grade teacher Amanda Raupe Oklahoma’s 2016-17 Milken Educator and hands her a $25,000 check!
