Glenn Lee (HI '11) Wins PAEMEM Mentoring Award

Glenn Lee (HI '11), who founded the Robotics STEM Learning Center at Waialua High and Intermediate School, has received a Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM). Since 1996, the National Science Foundation (NSF) has bestowed this award on mentors who work to expand science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) talent in underrepresented racial, ethnic, gender and socioeconomic groups. Awardees receive a certificate signed by the President and a trip to Washington, D.C., to attend a series of recognition events and professional development opportunities, as well as $10,000 from NSF.
